Day 01: Chandigarh to Narkanda/Rampur Bushar Pickup from Chandigarh and drive to Rampur Bushar. Arrived at Hotel by late evening. Overnight stay at Narkanda/Rampur Bushar. Day 02: Rampur Bushar to Sangla. Early morning after breakfast, we will start our drive to Sangla Valley. Sangla Valley is located in the bank of baspa river. Check in into Hotel and then explore the surrounding area. Overnight stay at Sangla. Day 03: Sangla – Chitkul - Sangla Post breakfast, we drive to Chitkul – The last village on Indo Tibet Border. Spend some quality time and then back to sangla. Visit Rakchham, Kamru Fort etc. and back to hotel for a relaxed stay. Overnight stay at Sangla. Day 04: Sangla – Gue – Nako /Tabo On next day Tour, we have breakfast, basking in the first rays of the sun, and later head towards Gue – which is famous for Mummy of a Lama preserved for more than 500 years. Later we proceed to TABO – The second largest village of the Spiti Valley, Tabo, is known worldwide for its 1000-year-old Tabo Monastery. Walk around this UNESCO world heritage site and gain a deeper insight into Buddhism. Unlike other monasteries in the Spiti Valley, the Tabo monastery is located at the bottom of the valley. Overnight stay at Nako / Tabo. Day 05: Nako – Tabo – Dhankar – Pin Valley – Kaza. On the next day of this Spiti Valley tour, we drive to charming and high villages of Dhankar. Dhankar, the former capital of the Spiti Valley, offers panoramic views of Spiti Valley. Dhankar stands perched above the confluence of the Spiti and Pin river. Perhaps there must have been a fort here once, but today Dhankar is renowned for its 1200-year old monastery balanced precariously on a rocky precipice. If time and energy permit, we do the easy 45-minute trek to the stunning turquoise coloured Dhankar Lake. Afterwards, we drive towards the beautiful Pin Valley. Later on we visit the Kungri Monastery. Declared a national park in 1987, Pin Valley has altitudes ranging from 11,000 to 20,000 feet. By late evening reach to Kaza. Overnight stay at Kaza. Day 06: Kaza –Kee –Langza – Hikkim – Komic – Kaza Today we will drive to some of the highest inhabited regions of the world. Then, we drive to Langza. Langza village is situated at an altitude of 4400 meters and belongs to the Sakyapa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Langza houses a population of 137 in 33 households. Once you are here, you can walk around the village and visit the ancient Lang (Temple) which is estimated to be around 1000 years old. At Langza, walk back to the prehistoric era when Spiti was submerged by the Tethys Sea, as you explore a land very rich with fossils of Marine animals and plants which were here millions of years ago. Later, we drive to Hikkim where we visit the world’s highest post office in the world. If possible, you might even meet the post-master and hear his stories. After sending out a postcard, the highest village in Asia, Komik, which literally translates to ‘eye of a snow cock’, is situated at a height of 4513 meters. This farming village has a population of 84 people, living in utter isolation, cut-off from the rest of the world for most parts of the year. Overnight stay in Kaza. Day 7: Kaza –Chicham Bridge – Kibber – Gette – Tashigang – Kaza After early breakfast, drive to Chicham Village to visit Chicham bridge, which is considered as Asia’s Highest Bridge, which is inaugurated in September 2018. Get some insta photos there and then drive to the picturesque village of Kibber. Located at a height of 4205 meters and 18 km from Kaza, this formerly highest permanently inhabited village in this region, is also a popular base camp to embark on adventure and treks to adjoining mountains of high altitude. After visiting Kibber, we will will drive towards Gette – Village having Highest Polling both. Then visit Tashigang to get some dry land beauty. One can have Key monastery arial from here. Evening can be spent in Kaza Market. Back to Hotel by dinner time. Overnight stay in KAZA Day 8: Kaza to Kalpa. Post breakfast, drive towards Kalpa – the Hemlet of Kinnaur. Onway to Kalpa visit Rekong Peo. Have a short break at Peo market. Overnight stay in Kalpa Day 9: Kalpa – Shimla/Narkanda. Post early breakfast, drive towards Shimla. Arrived Shimla/Narkanda by late evening. Day 10: Narkanda/Shimla - Chandigarh. Drive back to Chandigarh. Drop at Chandigarh by evening.
